Guest Speakers:
Dr Alan Tinch, CEO of Beta Bugs Ltd, brings more than 35 years of experience in farm animal and aquaculture genetics and breeding. His career has focused on developing and applying genetic technologies, alongside product development and commercialisation across a range of farmed animal species for international breeding companies. Alan leads the team at Beta Bugs following extensive work with the company’s genetics programme and now spearheads its strategy to develop and commercialise high-performance Black Soldier Fly genetics through their HiPer-Fly® breeding programme.
Emma White is Commercial Manager in the fresh produce team at Felix, the UK’s largest food redistribution charity. She works directly with growers and fresh produce suppliers to redistribute surplus fruit and vegetables through a network of more than 8,000 charities and community organisations across the UK. Working across the fresh produce sector, Emma develops partnerships that help businesses reduce food waste, maximise the value of surplus produce and deliver positive social and environmental impact.
