Farmers and farm workers across Wales are being encouraged to take part in a unique series of practical emergency first aid workshops designed specifically for the realities of working in agriculture.
Delivered in partnership between the Wales Farm Safety Partnership (WFSP) and the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service (EMRTS), the new Tractors and trauma workshops will provide hands-on training to help participants respond confidently and effectively when unexpected incidents occur on the farm.
Agriculture remains one of the most hazardous industries in Wales, with many farmers working alone or in remote locations where professional medical assistance may take time to arrive. In these situations, the actions taken during the first few minutes following an accident can have a significant impact on the outcome.
