The Scottish Government has published its ‘Rural Support Plan’ (RSP) for 2026-2030.
Having a plan is a requirement under the section 2 of the Agriculture and Rural Communities (Scotland) Act 2024. Whilst the document provides a consolidated summary of future policy plans, there is very little new in it, and no major new policy announcements. As we have set out previously (see https://theandersonscentre.co.uk/scottish-policy-update- 2/), in the short-term existing schemes are simply continuing and being slotted-in to the ‘reformed’framework.
