This tool was developed by ADAS and funded by Defra as part of the NCS project, which aims to increase the UK pulse cropping area to 20%, or 1 in 5 years of arable rotations.
Crop Planner is an exploratory crop rotation tool for farmers, advisors, policy makers or researchers wishing to understand the GHG emissions, gross margin, energy output and nitrogen balance of different crop rotations. This tool could be used to explore the impact of introducing new crop types into an arable rotation or to assess changing the frequency of different crop types in a rotation.
