Frances Titterington is the Head of Sustainability for the Livestock and Meat Commission for Northern Ireland and has a keen interest in improving farm efficiency and sustainability in the red meat sector. Having grown up on a dairy farm in County Down, she has always had strong ties to the rural community. Frances previously worked as a research scientist, designing, improving, and delivering a range of decision support tools to help farmers make informed decisions to improve productivity and ecosystem services provided on farm; and has extensive experience managing the collation of data from disparate sources to turn farm data into practical information. Further work included livestock studies to measure methane mitigation in finishing beef cattle and analysis of large-scale industry databases.
