The Government has published its formal response to the independent Farming Profitability Review, led by Baroness Minette Batters.
The response accepts 53 of the Review’s 57 recommendations and sets out measures intended to improve farm profitability, strengthen food security and provide greater long-term certainty for the agricultural sector.
Many of the proposed actions will form part of a new 25-year Farming Roadmap, which the Government says will provide greater clarity for farmers while supporting investment, innovation, and resilience across the industry.
