Meet the team
The Society of Agriculture is led by a volunteer Council of Trustees and supported by a small professional team who work together to deliver SocAg’s charitable purpose: advancing education in agricultural management and operation, raising professional standards, and supporting the people who shape Britain’s farming and rural businesses.
Our backgrounds span consultancy, farm and estate management, environmental practice, agri-business, policy and rural enterprise. What unites us is a commitment to independent expertise, high professional conduct, and strengthening the profession for the future.
We’re here to provide clear guidance, trusted leadership and a supportive professional community for everyone working across UK agriculture.

Advisory Board
The Advisory Board brings together former Chairs of BIAC, IAgrM and the Society of Agriculture, providing continuity, insight and collective experience to support SocAg’s leadership.
Its role is to offer independent advice to the current Chair of the Society, drawing on many years of professional and organisational knowledge. While it does not make decisions or set policy, the Advisory Board acts as a valuable sounding board, helping ensure that SocAg’s strategic direction remains grounded, informed and connected to its heritage as it moves forward.
