Remote sensing has become pivotal in biodiversity and environmental monitoring due to its scalability, low impact, and automation.

Conclusion

Biodiversity is inherently complex, encompassing multiple taxa, functional traits, and ecosystem processes that vary across spatial and temporal scales. In farmland, no single monitoring approach can fully capture this complexity. However, remote sensing provides an automated and versatile suite of tools that can substantially enhance our understanding and management of farmland biodiversity.
