The Society of Agriculture is delighted to share details of a special screening of the award-winning environmental documentary 2040, hosted by the UK Environmental Law Association (UKELA).
Directed by Damon Gameau, 2040 explores what the world could look like by 2040 if some of the best solutions already available to address climate change and environmental decline were adopted more widely.
Presented as a visual letter to the director’s young daughter, the film combines documentary storytelling, dramatised sequences and visual effects to offer a positive, solutions-focused vision of the future. It considers a range of practical approaches, including regenerative farming, community energy, marine permaculture, sustainable transport and greener cities, and asks what could be achieved if these ideas were brought into the mainstream.
