An Agrisgôp group, led by Rhian Jones, who is also a Regional Champion for the DPJ Foundation, brought together nine farmers from a mix of beef, sheep, dairy and poultry enterprises to explore how to improve mental health within the farming community.

As one of Farming Connect’s longest-running services, Agrisgôp has been supporting farmers and growers since 2003 to work together to solve real business challenges. This fully funded, farmer-led service brings small groups of like-minded individuals together to develop ideas, explore opportunities, and drive projects forward in a supportive and practical environment.

Through a combination of peer discussion, practical activities and expert input, members of the group shared personal experiences and identified common stressors, while developing coping strategies such as increasing social interaction, physical activity, and adopting more positive mindsets.
