Published on May 8th, 2026

The National Trust is recruiting for a Head of Farming for Nature, a senior national role focused on shaping the organisation’s long-term approach to farming across both tenanted and in-hand land.

This is an opportunity to provide strategic leadership at the intersection of agriculture, nature recovery, climate resilience and cultural landscapes. The successful candidate will help drive change at scale, supporting the adoption of regenerative and nature-friendly farming practices that deliver measurable benefits for biodiversity, climate and rural communities.

The role sits within the National Trust’s Land & Nature directorate, working with regional teams, tenant farmers, partners and specialists across conservation, land management, science, policy and external affairs. The role is strategic, collaborative and grounded in practical delivery.
